A Story from My Practice: Saying Goodbye to a Foal

With my client’s kind permission , I am sharing another tender story .

A client contacted me after the unexpected death of her foal. A tragic accident had left him beyond saving, and he had to be put to sleep. 💔

Energetic Connections

Together, we explored the whole event and, through the spiritual perspective of my work, why such things sometimes happen and what connections might be involved. We looked at the lineage of the mother mare, who had already lost a foal, as well as my client’s own story and the burial place.

Karmic Connections

We explored how different threads of a story might be connected and what, in my spiritual understanding, can sometimes be experienced as “negative” karma coming to fruition.

The foal was here only briefly, yet he left lasting memories and a deeply meaningful story.

I came to understand his soul’s journey as fulfilling karma and a higher purpose for both him and his human companion, whose souls, I felt, had known each other long ago .

My client agreed to write a farewell letter and kindly offered it to be shared.

A Farewell Letter

Dear Hanýsek,

Today I am saying goodbye to you, because you are no longer here with us.

You left us so unexpectedly. Your name, inspired by your golden color, was as beautiful as you were.

Your playfulness and curiosity filled me with joy and happiness whenever I could be with you.

Your time with us on Earth was far too short, but every moment together was so beautiful and precious to me that I have to thank you for them all. You held so much goodness, innocence, and beauty.

I can still see your joy in movement, your strength, your speed, and your playfulness.

Those moments when you played close to your mother, enjoying your days as a foal here on Earth, will stay with us as a picture of perfect equine happiness.

On Monday, something happened that suddenly hurt you terribly. Within moments, your life was in such danger that I had to make a decision quickly, and it was unimaginably hard. Above all, I knew you must not suffer.

I believe you are now in a place without pain, a place of beauty and peace.

Whether you are running through green meadows or wandering sunny pastures, your soul is free.

I am saying goodbye to you, my darling.

I miss you, and I always will.

You will forever be the golden foal we dreamed of, our beloved honey-colored treasure.
