A Child with Congenital Hearing Loss: A Spiritual Story, Part 1
A Child with Congenital Hearing Loss: A Story from My Practice, Part 1
A four-year-old boy was born with hearing loss and had worn hearing aids since his first months of life. His mother was looking for ways to support him alongside his medical care.
This account shares our first session and the deeper spiritual connections we explored together. It is the beginning of a process and reflects personal experiences and observations from that work.
His mother contacted me because he had heard poorly since birth and needed hearing aids.
Spiritual Impressions from the Past
During the session, I sensed two unfamiliar energies connected with the boy. In my spiritual interpretation of the experience, they appeared to carry stories from the past.
The first was a woman named Květa. She said she was protecting him and believed she was doing the right thing. Within the narrative, she had connected with him during the second or third month of pregnancy. She did not want him to hear hurtful things from anyone. An image appeared of her sitting in front of a black-and-white television.
What was she doing there? She was frightened for him and wanted to keep him safe.
Her story held the loss of her own daughter. In that life, the daughter had heard something deeply hurtful as a child and later died by suicide as an adult.
A Promise from the Past
In the image, Květa sat near the television and promised the boy that she would protect him and never let anyone hurt him.
“I will protect you forever.”
“No one can hurt you. I will keep you safe.”
She seemed to hold him with both hands around his ears, as though trying to prevent him from hearing anything painful.

A Story That Reached Back to 1938
When we explored the source of her need to protect his hearing, another life story emerged: the year 1938.
The image was of a four-year-old girl, rather than an older woman. She was frightened by gunfire and explosions and covered her ears.
Her parents went outside to look for her brother. They told her to hide under the table and not come out, no matter what happened.
She trusted them.
The shooting continued. She covered her ears again, feeling tension and pain in her body. She was little and did not understand.
Then came silence, and with it an image of both parents dead.
Within the child’s experience of this narrative, the sounds of explosions became bound to the loss of her parents.
Her Older Brother’s Promise: “I Will Take Care of You”
Her brother arrived and saw what had happened. They held hands and cried.
The girl was afraid for him as well as herself. He told her that he would care for her and protect her. Another promise.
Gradually, she covered her ears less often. The fear had not disappeared, but someone was now beside her.
A Memory of Her Mother
Earlier, her mother had given her a small pillow and told her to hug it whenever she felt afraid.
The pillow smelled like her mother. She held it close and focused on the scent and the feeling that something safe remained.
She looked out of the window with her brother beside her and told him everything. When she tried to cover her ears again, he held her hands and explained that it would not change what had happened.
Little by little, she began to understand. Covering her ears could soften the sound, but it could not undo the loss.
The Meaning We Explored in the Session
In the spiritual narrative, this experience remained deeply imprinted. I understood the energy near the boy as connected with the little girl who had lived through explosions, the loss of her parents, and her brother’s promise in 1938.
Within that interpretation, her wish to protect was focused on the ears: she did not want him to hear anything that might hurt him.

The final part of the story of the boy, Květa, and her daughter includes traumatic events. For that reason, I share it only in my private Facebook group.
