Unusual Aggression in a Dog: A Soul-Centered Story

A Story from My Practice: Unusual Aggression in a Dog

A client contacted me about his four-year-old West Siberian Laika, Raski. Since puppyhood, Raski had attacked smaller dogs without an obvious cause. Tragically, the attacks had resulted in the other dogs’ deaths, through strangulation or broken necks.

As a powerful hunting dog from a breed capable of taking on large animals, his behavior presented a very serious concern.

During my first remote connection with Raski, I sensed the presence of another dog’s energy and thoughts. Within the intuitive experience of the session, these seemed linked to his unusual aggression.

The impressions appeared to resemble the guardian’s previous dog, a Moscow Watchdog who had died exactly four years earlier. I understood the story as a continuing soul bond that had guided the guardian toward Raski.

When we spoke again, the client confirmed that seeing the puppy’s eyes in a photograph had brought an immediate intuitive feeling that he should bring him home, together with a deep memory of his previous dog.

In the spiritual narrative that emerged, the former dog’s soul wished to stay close and was connecting through Raski. During a later session, I sensed another unfamiliar energy near him as well.

Exploring Aggressive Behavior in Animals

Intuitive communication offers a way to reflect on what an animal may be feeling and needing. My work explores emotional history, the relationship with a guardian, the home environment, and the spiritual impressions that arise in a session.

When an animal seems sensitive to a guardian’s emotions, tending to our own inner calm may also become part of the journey toward greater harmony at home.

A Further Chapter: Our Animal Companions and Our Shared Purpose

The same guardian later called because he feared Raski was dying. Raski had developed a serious infection, had received antibiotics from a veterinarian, and still seemed very unwell. His guardian described him as withdrawn, sad, and as though he had lost his desire to live.

During the session, I sensed deep fear: a feeling of not being good enough and of being a disappointment. The narrative connected these feelings with the punishment Raski had experienced after his aggression.

As we explored further, a shared past-life story unfolded.

Their Shared Past-Life Story

As we explored more deeply, a narrative unfolded in which these feelings seemed to belong to earlier lives marked by punishment and self-blame.

An image emerged of the seventeenth or eighteenth century: the Andes, a rainforest, and two hunters who were best friends, walking together through the forest.

The forest was quiet, then something cracked. One hunter fell, shocked and struggling to breathe, with intense pressure in his neck and lower back. In the image, a bear had crossed over him with its full weight, breaking his spine. The second hunter tried to help, but he too was attacked and died. As the story continued, two bears appeared.

The first hunter’s soul seemed to remain nearby after death, grieving the loss of his closest friend.

“We should have been more alert and quicker.”

He felt guilty that he had not been able to help in time or save his friend’s life, and in this narrative his soul remained attached to the earthly experience.

The second hunter’s soul returned to the cabin where the two friends had lived. Strangers were there: soldiers and a woman who cared for the cabin. In the difficult scene that followed, the soldiers assaulted the woman, who died. The cabin was then burned, leaving an empty building and the woman’s soul.

The hunter seemed to witness everything and felt helpless because he could not intervene or help the woman he cared about. He did not understand why he could no longer act as he had when alive.

Eventually, the first hunter’s soul, understood within the session as Raski, came to help so that all three could move toward the light together.

The image held a deep imprint of helplessness, pain, guilt, and self-punishment. In the spiritual understanding of our work, these were the themes linking the past-life story with the present.

Soul Agreements, Loyalty, and Learning Self-Love

Within the narrative, the two hunters appeared as kindred souls who had traveled together through six incarnations, sometimes as people, sometimes as animals, including one life as a person and a horse.

Their bond carried loyalty and protection, alongside guilt and self-punishment.

After death, their souls seemed to meet again in the light. One, understood as Raski, waited for the other. There, in this higher plane of the story, they made a new soul agreement: to meet again in different, perhaps lighter, roles.

The Present: A Shared Journey Toward Healing

The soul who had once died as the first hunter wished for a simpler life: freedom without so many difficult decisions or responsibilities. In the narrative, he chose to be born as a dog, the Raski his guardian knows today.

At the same time, his guardian recognized a similar theme in his own life. He had often been punished as a child and had learned to be strict and judgmental toward himself, with little room for self-love.

Raski seemed to mirror that inner attitude.

Our work made space for a gentler understanding of pain, punishment, and guilt, and for a return to love that does not depend on being perfect.

Raski remained with his guardian. His guardian reported that he recovered from the fever and infection and gradually became calmer. Veterinary care remained part of his story.

Within the spiritual meaning we explored, life could be received as a gift: an opportunity to be present, peaceful, and less afraid.

His guardian came to understand their meeting as part of a deep soul agreement and an invitation to learn unconditional love again.

Recognizing Soul Agreements in Your Own Life

  • A bond feels profound from the first meeting, without an obvious logical explanation.
  • The presence of another person or animal stirs strong emotions or old pain.
  • Similar situations repeat, bringing a sense of having experienced them together before.
  • Even through conflict, there is an underlying love, respect, or gratitude.
  • The relationship invites growth, sometimes through difficult feelings.

This story reflects a belief that our bonds may reach beyond one lifetime. We may meet again to understand, complete, or gently tend what once remained unresolved.

Every relationship, with a person or an animal, can carry a message. Listening may invite us to explore a deeper part of our own soul.
